Laurence Boswell

Laurence Boswell is one of the UK’s leading theatre directors. As Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, he directed the Spanish Golden Age Season. He is currently Artistic Director of the Ustinov Studio at Bath Theatre Royal. His adaptation of Beauty and the Beast won The Barclay Theatre Award Best Play for Children and Young People in 1997.

Andrew Bovell

Andrew Bovell is a critically acclaimed Australian playwright and screenwriter.

His theatre credits include Things I Know To Be True (Frantic Assembly and the State Theatre Company of South Australia, 2016); The Secret River (Sydney Theatre Company, 2013 Sydney Festival and 2016 national tour, winner of six Helpmann Awards including Best Play, as well as Best New Work Sydney Theatre Awards); When the Rain Stops Falling (Brink Production/State Theatre Company, 2008 Adelaide Festival, Almeida Theatre, Lincoln Centre NYC, winner of five Lucille Lortell Awards). Earlier works include Speaking in Tongues and Holy Day.

Film credits include Strictly Ballroom, A Most Wanted Man, Edge of Darkness, Blessed, Lantana, and Head On.

Kate Bowen

Kate Bowen is a Glasgow-based writer and producer working in theatre and television.

Her play Close Quarters premiered at Sheffield Theatres in 2018 in a co-production with Out of Joint (later known as Stockroom). It was named by The Observer as one of their top ten theatre productions of that year. 

She was a 2012 recipient of the annual New Playwrights Award (Playwright's Studio Scotland) and participant in the 2013 Traverse 50 programme at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh. She was awarded a place on the Channel 4 Playwrights' Scheme in 2016, a Starter for Ten residency from the National Theatre of Scotland in 2017 and to be part of the BBC Writersroom Scotland's first Drama Writers Group in 2018.

Her short plays have been performed at The Traverse Theatre (The Prize Fighter, audio play) Glasgow's Play, Pie and a Pint (The Lawyers) and on STV (Super Sunday, a Five Minute Theatre piece for National Theatre of Scotland).
