Sue Townsend (2 April 1946 – 10 April 2014) was an English novelist and playwright, best known as the author of the Adrian Mole books.

Sophie Treadwell was born in California in 1885. She went to High School in San Francisco and then to the University of California, from which she graduated in 1906 and became a reporter on the San Francisco Bulletin. The highlights of her career as a journalist included an investigative series on homeless women, an exclusive interview with Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa, and a spell in Europe as one of the first women foreign correspondents covering the 1914-18 War. She wrote four novels and more than thirty plays, including O Nightingale (1922), Gringo (1922), Machinal (1928), Ladies Leave (1929), Lusita (1931), Plumes in the Dust (1936), For Saxophone (1939-41) and Hope for a Harvest (1941). She died in 1970.

Glyn Trefor-Jones is a theatre director, writer and teacher. Having gained a degree in Modern History and Politics from Cardiff University, he went on to pursue his creative ambitions by studying Acting and Musical Theatre at Hertfordshire Theatre School and, later, acting and creative writing at AARTS International.

Having toured extensively as an actor, performing in a variety of theatre, corporate and television work, he began to write and tour his own work, establishing Prospero Productions, Liberty Productions and the Bedford Rep Theatre Company. He has written extensively for young people as well as writing, directing and producing his own musicals under the production company Glyn Trefor-Jones Presents.

He has always combined his theatre engagements with teaching work and has worked for an eclectic array of drama schools, youth theatre companies, schools and drama groups in both the UK and USA.

In 2005, Glyn established The Academy of Performing Arts, a part-time theatre school for young people between the ages of five and seventeen. The Academy quickly flourished into a thriving training academy with centres across Bedfordshire and Warwickshire. Glyn remains the creative director of all schools and continues to teach acting and musical theatre.

He is the author of Drama Menu: Theatre Games in Three Courses (Nick Hern Books, 2015), Drama Menu at a Distance: 80 Socially Distanced or Online Theatre Games (Nick Hern Books, 2020) and Drama Menu: Second Helpings (Nick Hern Books, 2023).

Jennifer Tremblay is a Quebecois writer. She was awarded the 2008 Governor General's Literary Award for her play La Liste/The List.

Michel Tremblay is a French Canadian novelist and playwright, born in Montreal, Quebec. His first professionally produced play, Les Belles-Sœurs, was written in 1965 and premiered at the Théâtre du Rideau Vert on August 28, 1968. It stirred up controversy by portraying the lives of working-class women and attacking the straight-laced, deeply religious society of mid-20th century Quebec. A version of the play in Scots English, The Guid Sisters, translated by Bill Findlay and Martin Bowman, was premiered at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow, in 1989; and a version set in Ireland, The Unmanageable Sisters by Deirdre Kinahan, premiered at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, in 2018.

His other notable works include: À toi, pour toujours, ta Marie-Lou (1970); La grosse femme d'à côté est enceinte (1978); Albertine, en cinq temps (Albertine in Five Times) (1984); Le Vrai Monde? (1987); and Messe solennelle pour une pleine lune d'été (Solemn Mass for a Full Moon in Summer) (1996).

José Triana (1931–2018) was a Cuban poet and playwright. His best known play is Night of the Assassins (1966).

Russ Tunney is a director and playwright who specialises in work for young people. He is the Associate Director of the Nuffield Theatre.

Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev (1818–83) was a Russian novelist, short story writer and playwright. His novel Fathers and Sons (1862) is regarded as one of the major works of 19th-century fiction.
