Two gritty, powerful solo shows from award-winning Indigenous Canadian playwright Cliff Cardinal, exploring the lives of marginalized characters.

Huff is the wrenching yet darkly comic tale of three Indigenous brothers, Wind, Huff, and Charles, caught in a torrent of solvent abuse and struggling to cope with the death of their mother. Their fantastic dream world bleeds into haunting reality, as they’re preyed on by the Trickster through hallways at school, the abandoned motel they love more than home, and their own fragile psyche.

Huff was premiered at SummerWorks in 2012, and went on to complete two national tours. It won the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Play.

In Stitch, Kylie Grandview is a single mum struggling to make a living as a porn star while dreaming of being on the big screen.

Stitch was premiered at SummerWorks in 2011, winning Theatre Passe Muraille’s Emerging Artist Award.
